La Veladora Project is the brainchild of artist Sergio Zenteno. Essentially, the idea is to create, produce and distribute a set of votive candles labeled with the likeness and legends of saints. And they are saints in some possible world, these people. The presence and lighting of these candles will in effect impact the environments in in which they may exist. The reasons why and how this occurs are yet to be understood. Be assured this collection of handsome deities will in fact grace and enhance your life. Use them in your alcove, in the studio, the shrine, the beach.
At the present time, distribution channels and exhibitions are being arranged. The candles are available (signed and numbered) singly or as a suite, for art collectors and also, most decidedly, the Veladora Project will reach the botanicas, popular markets and spiritual concessionaires.
