Coming of age in the 70's in Ensenada as an yogi and surfer, Sergio Zenteno Bencomo has spent most of his adult and professional life as an artist abroad, exhibiting his work throughout the world. Now at the top of his creative powers and with a keen and diverse body of work, Zenteno returns to his origins, the other "city by the bay": Ensenada. To fully understand the amplitude of Zenteno's work would take some time but now, thanks to the internet, one can peruse his work in various areas, chiefly painting and also performance, photography, video and music. His paintings are acquired by contemporary-art collectors, mostly in the United States but wherever he may be, Sergio naturally becomes part of the creative and intellectual vanguard. Upon his returns to Baja California, Zenteno revisits friends from his formative years, who themselves have excelled in other fields, thus he recognizes a continuum, one which surely will inspire and spawn a new stage in his near-feverish creativity.
